What is a disability benefit specialist?
Disability benefit specialists help answer questions and solve problems related to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or other health insurances and benefits for people with disabilities.
We serve individuals age 18-59 with a physical or cognitive disability or a mental illness. Services are free and confidential.
How can we help?
Depending on the individual's circumstances, benefit specialists can assist with:
- Applications, appeals and legal advocacy for Social Security Disability
- Information about other appropriate benefits
- Access to health care
- Education about Social Security work incentives and rules
- Guidance about benefit applications and appeals processes
